Broken Chairs in a Waiting Room YUP!

Recently, a client came to us with an interesting case.  Ms. A was waiting for her ride to go home. She saw some chairs in the reception area of the building where she worked.  So-o she sat down.  The chair immediately collapsed.  Ms A was injured.

Who do you "go after" ?  The building's owner? The building's leasing company? The building's real estate management company? The company whose employees placed the chairs in the reception area? The individuals who carried the chairs to the reception area? The cleaning service? The manufacturer's of the chairs, for products liability?

The correct answer: Find witnesses, get sworn affidavits, check for property owner with the tax assessor for the town in which the incident occurred, get photos, do the investigation.

This is your attorney's job.
